چکیده

This paper focuses on analyzing the bearing capacity of large diameter drilled shafts that are fully embedded in claystone and sandstone layers. The foundations used for Pulau Balang bridge pylons built across Balikpapan bay. Three bored pile with a planned 2 meters by 60 were used. foundation field was carried out using Osterberg cell test. upper side is 32.77, 27.26, 114.46 MN, lower parts 26.98, 27.16, 50.25 respectively. results show method closest to part OC test suggested Kulhawy Phoon, value C = 0.5. As part, approach combination Phoon Rowe Armitage methods. combinations methods approximate total (1993) (1987) dominant layer, O'Neil Reese main layer

Service limit state resistance factors for drilled shafts

The analysis of bored piles, or drilled shafts, at the service limit state is important when foundation settlements are critical to the operation of a structure. The t–z method is a widely used soil–structure interaction model for the analysis of drilled shaft settlement. In current practice, nominal values of soil stiffness and strength parameters are used to determine settlement based upon th...

Analysis of Laterally Loaded Long or Intermediate Drilled Shafts of Small or Large Diameter in Layered Soil

Strain wedge (SW) model formulation has been used, in previous work, to evaluate the response of a single pile or a group of piles (including its pile cap) in layered soils to lateral loading. The SW model approach provides appropriate prediction for the behavior of an isolated pile and pile group under lateral static loading in layered soil (sand and/or clay). The SW model analysis covers the ...

Reliability Index for Serviceability Limit State of Drilled Shafts under Undrained Compression

In recent years, reliability-based design (RBD) has gradually gained popularity in geotechnical engineering. Several RBD codes have been developed and implemented around the world that calibrate ultimate limit state (ULS) designs for a target ULS reliability index (βuls). However, the serviceability limit state (SLS) design still is considered using conventional deterministic approaches with an...
